Kamito Kazehaya runs into a naked Claire Rouge, a student who had been bathing as part of a purification ceremony, on his way to Areishia Spirit Academy. She had been preparing to form an "elementalist" contract with a powerful spirit in order to gain more power. Despite the fact that only shrine maidens can become elementalists, Kamito ends up with the spirit, despite the fact that only shrine maidens can become elementalists. Claire then goes on to say that Kamito will have to become her contracted spirit instead!
After escaping Claire and arriving at the school grounds, Kamito meets Headmaster Greyworth Ciel Mais, who invites him to join the academy. Although being the only male student among the shrine princesses-in-training will be difficult, he reluctantly accepts in exchange for information about his former contracted spirit, Restia Ashdoll. In addition, he must fulfill Greyworth's main request: to win the Blade Dance, a battle festival that will take place in two months and in which he will face the strongest elementalist rumored to be under contract with a darkness spirit.

About

El Mal Querer (English: The Bad Loving) is Rosala's second studio album, which was released on November 2nd, 2018 through Sony Music. Rosala wrote and co-produced the album with El Guincho on a shoestring budget as an independent artist. The album was inspired by the anonymous 13th-century Occitan novel Flamenca and is presented as experimental and conceptual, revolving around a toxic relationship. As a result, each song on the album is envisioned as a chapter of the novel. The singer and her friend Ferran Echegaray came up with the concept. It was the singer's baccalaureate project, and she graduated with honors from Catalonia College of Music. Rosala signed a single-album distribution deal with Sony after meeting American talent manager Rebeca León, which opened the door to massive promotional strategies. Thus, prior to the album's release, three singles were released: "Malamente," "Pienso En Tu Mirá," and "Di Mi Nombre," all of which were accompanied by music videos that went viral on social media. After the album, two more singles, "Bagdad" and "De Aqu No Sales," were released. A billboard in Times Square, as well as live performances at several Spanish festivals, a sold-out concert at Plaza de Colón, the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards, and the Latin Grammy Awards, were among the other promotional initiatives. Rosala's vocals, as well as the album's experimental production and use of flamenco elements mixed with pop and urbano music, received critical acclaim. It was a commercial success, topping the Spanish charts and the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart in the United States. The first four singles from the album debuted in the top ten of the Spanish Singles Chart at the same time, with "Di Mi Nombre" becoming her first number-one single. El Mal Querer has held the record for the longest-charting album in Spain's history since June 2021. El Mal Querer was a Grammy winner in every category, including visuals, engineering, composition, and vocals. "Malamente" was nominated for five awards at the 2018 Latin Grammy Awards, winning two of them: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Short Form Music Video, Best Urban Fusion Performance, and Best Alternative Song. At the following year's ceremony, the album won Album of the Year, Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album, Best Engineered Album, and Best Recording Package, while the song "Pienso En Tu Mirá" was nominated for Best Pop Song. With six nominations, it became the most nominated album by a female artist and, after Shakira, the only female artist to win Album of the Year. At the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, the album was also named Best Latin Rock, Urban, or Alternative Album. El Mal Querer was named the greatest Spanish-language album of all time and the 315th best overall in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in a 2020 update.
