Argument
Engaging in personal hobbies often presents unexpected opportunities to meet fascinating individuals. Such was the case for Kakeru Daichi, an aficionado of rare juice cans, whose most extraordinary encounter came in the form of a peculiar girl he unknowingly attempted to quench his thirst with. Bestowing upon her the name "Melon," a nod to her tantalizing melon-flavored soda content, little did Kakeru know that he was about to embark on an extraordinary journey intertwined with a unique experiment. Melon, as it turned out, was an "Akikan," a strikingly beautiful young woman crafted to engage in a peculiar battle amongst her kind. The experiment aimed to determine the superior container material between steel and aluminum. Intrigued by this enigmatic project, Kakeru found himself entangled in an unforeseen twist when he discovered Melon's vital dependence on carbon dioxide to sustain her steel physique. As if this predicament were not sufficient, Kakeru's childhood companion, the affluent and attractive Najimi, obtained her own aluminum-based Akikan, adding another layer of complexity to the already convoluted scenario. Thus, commences an enthralling tale filled with chaotic research gone haywire, bound to captivate and complicate Kakeru's life in unimaginable ways.
