When Kodaka Hasegawa is unexpectedly transferred to a new school, he sets out on a mission to leave a lasting impression and forge meaningful connections. However, his dreams quickly crumble as he is unjustly branded a violent delinquent, solely based on his striking blond hair and imposing demeanor. Despite the passage of an entire month, Kodaka remains isolated and ostracized by his classmates, courtesy of his notorious reputation. Little does he know, his path is about to take an intriguing turn when he stumbles upon Yozora Mikazuki, a fellow loner who converses with an imaginary companion amidst an empty classroom. Bonding over the shared anguish of their solitary high school lives, Kodaka and Yozora embark on a transformative journey by establishing the Neighbor's Club. This exclusive enclave is specifically designed to cater to individuals bereft of companionship, providing a platform for honing social skills and integrating into society, with the ultimate goal of fostering genuine friendships. United by their peculiarities, the club attracts an array of eccentric outcasts, including the eroge-loving Sena Kashiwazaki. Within this exquisitely bizarre setting, fusing laughter and idiosyncrasies, Kodaka may finally have found his tribe - a camaraderie of misfits who redefine the notion of friendship.

About

Released in the year 2012, a captivating visual novel titled "Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Portable" emerged from the creative minds at Namco Bandai Games, exclusively for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Furthermore, a sensational live-action film, directed by the talented Takuro Oikawa, followed suit on February 1, 2014. It's important to note that this film astoundingly stayed true to the original novels, bypassing any influence from the animated adaptation.
