Argument

Witnessing a chilling sight, Sakura Sakurakouji stands in horror as a merciless group of people is engulfed in ethereal blue flames. In the midst of this macabre display, a boy with cold, piercing eyes silently observes. Driven by an unwavering sense of justice, Sakura finds herself returning to the scene the following day, only to discover an unsettling absence of bodies and any trace of the horrifying crime that unfolded before her very eyes. However, her quest for answers takes an unexpected turn when a captivating transfer student named Rei Oogami enters her life. Exuding an enigmatic charm, Rei swiftly becomes the talk of the school. Little do her peers realize that beneath his charismatic façade lies a dark secret – Rei is a "Code:Breaker," a figure who exists beyond the boundaries of the law. Fuelled by a twisted ideology that believes in retribution, he carries out his own brand of justice, heedless of the consequences. Appalled by Rei's penchant for vengeance and his chilling mantra of "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and evil for evil," Sakura's unwavering conviction propels her towards a daring mission: to put an end to his reign of terror before innocent lives are irreparably shattered.
