Argument

East Tokyo United (ETU) has been locked in a fierce battle within Japan's premier soccer league for several years, grappling with an uphill struggle for survival. Scraping by to avoid relegation has become their arduous endeavor. To exacerbate matters, a devastating string of five consecutive losses has dealt a devastating blow to team morale. Even the most loyal fans are beginning to lose faith, as whispers swirl about the impending withdrawal of support from the local municipality. Plagued by a revolving door of sacked coaches and a flurry of ill-advised financial decisions in player recruitment, ETU finds itself spiraling downward on a treacherous path. In the midst of this dire predicament, the board of directors, pressured by the determined and resolute general manager, Kousei Gotou, dares to take a gamble to overturn their misfortunes.
