Argument

Marquis Reinhard von Lohengramm tactfully orchestrates a plot to sow discord within the Free Planets Alliance, a scheme that comes to fruition when the infamous Rear Admiral Arthur Lynch, notorious for his treachery, triggers an audacious coup on Heinessen. Amidst the chaos, Lynch cunningly manipulates his longtime comrade Admiral Dwight Greenhill into supervising the National Salvation Military Council's insidious dismantling of the civilian government. Admiral Yang Wen-li, a staunch defender of democracy and advocate for the restoration of the Alliance constitution, finds himself confronting not only his own countrymen but also the formidable father of his devoted adjutant, Lieutenant Frederica Greenhill. As the Free Planets Alliance grapples with their internal strife, the Galactic Empire seizes this opportune moment to suppress the newly-formed Lippstadt League, wholeheartedly led by the indomitable Duke Otto von Braunschweig. Though the imperial forces reign supreme, the absence of High Admiral Siegfried Kircheis, Reinhard's loyal subordinate engaged in intensive battles at the frontier regions, compels Reinhard to forge a tenuous alliance with the relentless Vice Admiral Paul von Oberstein. Oberstein's astute counsel permeates the esteemed Lohengramm admiralty, steadily augmenting his influence. Amidst the impending bloodshed on both sides of the galaxy, Yang Wen-li of the Free Planets Alliance and Reinhard von Lohengramm of the Galactic Empire find themselves entangled in introspection. How will the annals of history regard their calculated actions? Shall the desired outcomes ultimately validate the methods employed?
