Argument
During a time when the world was undergoing a colossal industrial revolution, unimaginable horrors emerged, born from a perplexing virus. These abominable creatures, known as "Kabane," mercilessly tore through the flesh of unsuspecting humans, driven solely by their insatiable appetite. Alas, salvation came with a grave catch: to vanquish these monstrous fiends, their steel-coated hearts had to be mercilessly obliterated. Yet, the harrowing truth awaited those unfortunate enough to be bitten – an existence far worse than death, condemned to join the army of the undead. Surviving this cataclysmic convergence proved to be an incredible feat, attained only by the most fortified civilizations. And among these rare havens was Hinomoto, an island where desperate humans constructed towering walls to shield themselves from the relentless onslaught of Kabane. The sole entry point into these colossal fortresses? Armored trains, formidable machines expertly managed and crafted by young engineers like the ambitious Ikoma. Driven by an unyielding determination, Ikoma devised a formidable weapon, one powerful enough to pierce the hearts of the Kabane with ease. Anticipation gripped his soul as he eagerly awaited the day he would finally be able to wage war with his groundbreaking creation. However, little did he fathom that fate had engineered an unexpectedly swift reckoning...
