Argument

Akito has no desire to engage in combat. Despite immersing himself in the thrilling anime series, Gekiganger 3, which revolves around colossal mechas, he prefers the culinary arts to piloting such machines. However, his peaceful existence takes an unexpected turn when his Martian home is mercilessly obliterated, thrusting him instantaneously to Earth through a baffling phenomenon. Yearning for answers that elude him at every turn, Akito finds himself inexorably drawn to a fortuitous encounter with a peculiar young woman named Yurika. Captaining the formidable private battleship Nadesico, she becomes his beacon of hope. Determined to unravel the mysteries that engulf him, Akito embarks on an extraordinary journey as the ship's committed cook. Equipped with nanite implants that grant him the ability to control mechas, Akito also serves as a valuable backup pilot for the Nadesico's impressive arsenal. United in their pursuit to avenge the tragic loss of Mars, Akito aligns himself with a seemingly eccentric crew comprising misfits, otakus, and scatterbrained individuals. In truth, however, these unique individuals are handpicked experts in their respective fields. Venturing back to Mars, they confront the sobering reality that life may not always mirror the grandiose spectacle portrayed in their beloved Giant Mecha series.
