Argument
Following a harrowing encounter with bloodthirsty vampires, Koyomi Araragi becomes acutely aware of peculiar behavior exhibited by his dear friend, Tsubasa Hanekawa. Struck by curiosity and concern, Araragi notices a bandage adorning Hanekawa's face during an unexpected encounter near a local bookstore. Alarmed by this unsettling sight, he yearns to offer his assistance, only to be met with Hanekawa's insistence that it is a mere household wound, not worth his attention. However, fate takes an unexpected turn when a tailless white cat falls victim to a tragic accident with a speeding vehicle, leading the two friends to perform a solemn burial. Prompted by a deep sense of unease, Araragi seeks solace and guidance from his enigmatic confidant, Meme Oshino, recounting the day's surreal events. Charged with the daunting task of locating his vulnerable friend and ensuring her safety, Araragi discovers to his dismay that Hanekawa has succumbed to the clutches of the dreaded "Sawari Neko," brutally attacking her own parents. Thus, the burden falls on Araragi's shoulders to extend a helping hand to the one who once came to his aid, as their intertwined fate takes a treacherous turn.
