Argument

After the tragic demise of his beloved grandfather, Yasuji, Kousuke Kumagaya gradually grew apart from his once inseparable friend, Natsume Tonai. From being cherished companions raised under the same roof, they now find themselves at odds, burdened by Natsume's refusal to let go of the past. The tension escalates further when they learn that the hallowed walls of their childhood abode are soon to be reduced to rubble. Word spreads of an elusive specter reportedly haunting the antiquated estate, intriguing Kousuke's acquaintances enough to lure him into the labyrinthine ruins. To his surprise, he stumbles upon Natsume amidst the ruins, sparking a heated confrontation over an old camera, an heirloom of Yasuji's. In a desperate turn of events, Natsume flees with the precious artifact only to find herself teetering at the edge of a precipice. At that very moment, torrential rains drench the atmosphere, submerging both the edifice and its occupants. Stranded, adrift on their flimsy abode transformed into a makeshift vessel, Kousuke and Natsume find themselves marooned upon an ominous sea.
