Argument

In the wake of Guts' departure to carve his own fate, the once towering force known as the Band of the Hawk has suffered a sharp decline. Led now by his former comrade, Casca, their destiny remains unknown. However, news of their plight reaches Guts, drawing him back to their side. Long gone are the days when they were hailed as Midland's heroes; now hunted relentlessly, they fight tooth and nail for survival, while clandestinely plotting the liberation of their incarcerated leader, Griffith, held captive for his alleged treasonous acts. Yet, upon their noble rescue mission, they are confronted with a Griffith far removed from the charismatic leader they once cherished. A year of agonizing torments has reduced Griffith to an unrecognizable shell of his former self, robbed of his mobility, speech, and even the ability to wield a sword. The sole possession that remains steadfastly at his side is an enigmatic artifact, the Crimson Behelit, as if bound to him by an otherworldly force. The Band of the Hawk harbors a fervent desire to reclaim their former glory, scrutinizing the depths to which they're willing to plunge in pursuit of their erstwhile greatness. Yet, in their wildest imaginations, they couldn't foresee the impending doom that awaits them. Griffith's heart, forever tarnished by the horrors he endured, grows increasingly dark, mirroring the day when the sky itself turns pitch-black during a fateful solar eclipse. It is then that the Behelit presents them with a choice, one that will inevitably leave the Band of the Hawk ensnared in a haunting web of bloodshed—a fate from which they can never truly break free.
