Argument

When Hibiki Kuze was unwittingly registered by his best friend, Daichi Shijima, on an enigmatic website called Nicaea, he had no idea what he was getting into. This peculiar platform, known as the "death face delivery site," predicts the time and manner of a person's demise through eerie "death clips." However, Hibiki's skepticism soon turned to terror when their subway train derails, resulting in a horrifying accident where they are crushed underneath its weight. In the darkness of this tragic moment, Hibiki is confronted with an unimaginable choice: to embrace death or claim the opportunity to continue living. Opting for the latter, Hibiki unwittingly becomes the recipient of a demon summoning application downloaded directly onto his phone by Nicaea. Stirring from his unconscious state, Hibiki finds solace in the fact that both Daichi and their classmate, Io Nitta, have miraculously survived the disaster unscathed. Yet, their relief is short-lived as they bear witness to the chaos that has consumed Tokyo following a cataclysmic earthquake. Amidst the bedlam, a peculiar creature descends from the heavens, detonating upon impact and mercilessly taking numerous innocent lives. Forced into a devastating predicament with nowhere to run, Hibiki musters the courage to access the demon summoning app, beseeching a powerful entity to obliterate the otherworldly menace before further catastrophe befalls them all. In a twist of fate, Hibiki's remarkable ability to command demons captures the attention of JP's, a clandestine governmental research organization apparently privy to the unfolding crisis. Within its secretive confines, Hibiki becomes privy to a startling revelation: humanity stands at the precipice of annihilation, granted a mere seven days to annihilate the encroaching invaders known as the "Septentriones" or succumb to the relentless erosion of the world they hold dear. Having already triumphed over the first of these formidable foes, Hibiki now finds himself thrust into a destiny intertwined with other chosen "Devil Summoners," forging alliances and pooling their extraordinary gifts in a desperate bid to eradicate this existential threat.
