Argument
In a world devastated by an apocalyptic catastrophe, the final bastion of humanity lies within the heavily fortified city of Tokyo-3. Here, a clandestine underground organization called NERV, led by the enigmatic Gendou Ikari, strives to combat the immense peril that looms over mankind. And at the center of this desperate fight stands fourteen-year-old Shinji Ikari, whose fate becomes entwined with the destiny of humanity. Summoned to NERV headquarters, Shinji is faced with an incomprehensible proposition – to become a pilot of the awe-inspiring "Evangelion," a colossal android designed solely to counter the monstrous and destructive abominations known as "Angels."
