After a tragic incident claims the life of her beloved mother, the resilient 16-year-old Tooru finds herself in a difficult predicament. Unable to live with her grandfather due to ongoing renovations, she is confronted with the daunting task of finding a new place to stay. Torn between the fear of burdening her loved ones and the dread of facing judgment, Tooru makes a drastic decision: she secretly sets up camp in the depths of a secluded forest. One fateful evening, as she wearily makes her way back from work, disaster strikes. A treacherous landslide sweeps away her modest tent, leaving her desperate and destitute. In a serendipitous turn, two individuals stumble upon her dire situation – Yuki Souma, the illustrious "prince" of her school, and his enigmatic cousin, Shigure Souma, a revered author. Their sympathetic hearts prompt them to extend a lifeline, welcoming Tooru into their abode until her grandfather's house is habitable again. However, as she begins settling into her new residence, Tooru is unwittingly thrust into a world shrouded in secrecy. The Souma family guards a bewitching secret: a mysterious curse that transforms them into creatures of the zodiac whenever they embrace someone of the opposite gender. Yet, this peculiar phenomenon hides a grim history, steeped in ancient turmoil. As the resilient Tooru forges ahead on her journey, discovering more about the enigmatic zodiac family, one can't help but wonder if her indomitable spirit will be enough to withstand the hidden horrors that lurk beyond the seemingly ordinary doors of the Souma household.
