Argument

Following a devastating loss of 21-0 at the esteemed National Junior Badminton Tournament, Nagisa Aragaki finds her deep-rooted passion for the sport slowly morphing into something unrecognizable. The overwhelming shame of defeat takes a toll on her, leading her to unleash terror upon the members of her high school badminton club. Her relentless drills inflict emotional havoc, reducing some to tears and driving others to quit altogether. With the team dwindling and potential recruits too intimidated to join, the once promising future of the badminton club seems irreparably bleak. But just when all hope appears lost, a ray of light emerges in the form of Kentarou Tachibana, an eminent Olympic-level player who assumes the role of head coach. Armed with an enigmatic secret weapon, he introduces Ayano Hanesaki to the teamβ€”an extraordinary girl who had previously triumphed over Nagisa six months ago. However, Ayano no longer embodies the rival Nagisa once knew. Instead, she carries within her a conflicted spirit, seeking to distance herself from the very sport that once defined her existence. As the fate of their athletic pursuits hangs in the balance, Nagisa must muster her inner strength to confront her deep-rooted fears of inadequacy, mend her rival's troubled heart, and steer Kitakomachi High School's badminton club towards a victorious future.
