However, fate takes an unexpected turn when Shinichi stumbles upon two suspicious individuals engaged in nefarious activities. Determined to uncover the truth, he finds himself unwittingly entangled in a perilous predicament. In a shocking twist of events, the young prodigy is exposed and confronted by the culprits. To ensure his silence, they administer an experimental drug concocted by their notorious criminal syndicate, intended to be his ultimate undoing. Astonishingly, Shinichi survives the lethal dose, but awakens to a startling reality - he has been transformed into a mere seven-year-old child. Despite his physical regression, Shinichi's intellect remains unscathed. With his brilliant mind intact, he adopts the guise of Conan Edogawa, a name inspired by the great mystery writers Arthur Conan Doyle and Ranpo Edogawa. Concealing his true identity becomes his paramount mission, even from his dear childhood friend Ran Mouri and her father, the esteemed private detective Kogorou Mouri. Thus, our captivating tale unfolds as Detective Conan embarks on a clandestine journey. Operating covertly, Conan employs his exceptional sleuthing skills to assist the elder Mouri in solving perplexing cases while delving into the enigmatic world of the organization responsible for his bizarre transformation. Ever hopeful, Conan yearns for the day when he can reverse the effects of the mysterious drug and reclaim his true identity.
