Argument

Takaya Ougi is just a regular high school guy who only wants to protect his best friend and live a normal life. Join Nobutsuna Naoe, an elderly man who in fact tells Takaya that he is Lord Kagetora's reincarnation. Takaya's power to exorcise evil spirits and battle the Fuedal Underworld is revived by Naoe, himself a possessor. While most possessors recall their previous lives before being reincarnated, Takaya does not. Of this Naoe is grateful, despite his passionate and violent past with his Lord Kagetora. He also starts to recall what Naoe did because of his affection for him, as Takaya develops his skills.
Meanwhile, as the Fuedal Underworld descends upon the living world, the dark powers of the Hojo and Fuma clans begin their fighting..

Mirage of Blaze ( 炎の蜃気楼（ミラージュ）, Honō no Mirāju ) is a series of Japanese light novels written by Mizuna Kuwabara, released under Cobalt label Shueisha. In 2002, it was partly adapted as an anime TV series directed by Susumu Kudo and in 2004, an OVA directed by Fumie Muroi. Media Blasters have since launched the anime television series and the OVAs in North America, and both have appeared on both Encore Action and Encore WAM.
