In the tumultuous journey of adolescence, Mei Tachibana, a resilient 16-year-old, has experienced the heart-wrenching agony of relentless bullying. Scarred by these painful encounters, Mei becomes adamant about shunning friendships, convinced that they can only inflict further harm. On the flip side, there's Yamato Kurosawa, a charismatic charmer who reigns as the epitome of popularity within their school. He effortlessly sweeps through relationships with numerous girls, leaving no heart untouched. These polar opposites collide when the undeterred Yamato becomes captivated by Mei's enigmatic allure, pledging to befriend her against all odds. The pivotal turning point unfolds one fateful night when Yamato courageously shields Mei from the menacing intentions of a stalker. This extraordinary act sparks a flame within Mei's heart, and she finds herself questioning the authenticity of her newly discovered emotions for him. However, as Mei and Yamato navigate the treacherous path of their blossoming relationship, they encounter the venomous whispers of envy from Mei's jealous classmates, who yearn to snatch away what they perceive as rightfully theirs. Amidst this tumult, Mei must find the strength to decipher the depths of her affection for Yamato and summon the courage to utter those three life-altering words: "I love you."
