Argument

The Japanese release by Victor Entertainment presents an exciting variation of openings tailored to each specific episode. However, in the initial releases by Geneon Entertainment USA (formerly Pioneer), both on VHS and DVD (singles, Signature Series, and box sets), only the first opening was used consistently. This discrepancy arose because the Japanese licensor provided clean materials with English credits solely for the first opening. Fortunately, Geneon rectified this oversight in their Limited Edition tin releases in 2005/2006, as well as on the Remix singles. Sadly, when FUNimation Entertainment took over the series in 2010 and released it, the same error occurred, using only the first opening consistently across episodes. Nonetheless, this regrettable oversight was eventually remedied in 2013 with the Anime Classics re-release.
