During an excavation in Clow Country's enigmatic ruins, Syaoran finds his childhood friend Princess Sakura emerging at the site with wings scattering into several feathers. When the feather's vanish into various realms, so does the memory of Sakura. In an effort to save Sakura's life and recover her memories, Syaoran journeys to a distant universe to find a solution. Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle ( Japanese: ツバァ-RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE-, Hepburn: Tsubasa: Rezaboa Kuronikuru ) is a series of Japanese mangas written and illustrated by the Clamp group of manga artists. This exists in the same fictional world as many of the other Clamp manga series, most notably xxxHolic. Tsubasa was conceived when four Clamp artists wanted to create a manga series that connected all their previous works.The manga was adapted to an anime series, Tsubasa Chronicle ( Japanese: ツバァ-RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE-, Hepburn: Tsubasa: Rezaboa Kuronikuru ), animated by Bee Train, which during 2005 and 2006 aired 52 episodes over two seasons. G released an interlude film between the first two seasons titled Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle the Movie: The Princess in the Birdcage Kingdom, as well as five original video animations ( ツバァο½₯クロニクル, Tsubasa Kuronikuru ) between November 2007 and May20.

The manga was licensed for English language release by Del Rey Manga, who has released all of its volumes since April 27, 2004. The anime was licensed for English release by Funimation.
