Take a look at the argument of Vifam 13 Song Lyrics:
Mr. Takeyuki Kanda died suddenly at age 52 on 27 July 1996. He was born on 11 August 1943 and was known as the director of various animations including VIFAM. So a new VIFAM television series in memory of him was transmitted in 1998. Televised 1998/3/21-1998/10/3 (in Kansai area), it contains 26 episodes and like Twelve people disappeared it's a sidestory, but some new features are added: new characters, new RV, etc.The story could be inserted between VIFAM's # 22 and # 26 (# 24 and # 25 are digests), and is divided into three parts: Act I (# 1-14), Interlude (# 15-18), Act II (# 19-26), if we name them (actually, Act I and Act II have little relation).
It might also be the New Testament, but now it's considered an apocrypha (or worse, a pseudo-VIFAM). There are many reasons to say so but the best way to understand them is to watch the film..
