Reideen, the giant robot-like guardian of Mu's abandoned world, detects the evil presence and awakens inside its golden pyramid, revealing to young Japanese boy Akira Hibiki that he is the only descendant of ancient Mu people who must help Reideen save Earth.

Brave Raideen ( 勇者ライディーン, Yūsha Raidīn ) is an anime series of super robots. Produced by Tohokushinsha, Asahi News Agency, and Sunrise, from 4 April 1975 to 26 March 1976, it aired on NET ( now TV Asahi ), with a total of 50 episodes. The real name is Raideen the Brave and it is known simply as "Brave Raideen" or "Heroic Raydeen." From 1996 to 1997, a series called Raideen the Superior ( 超者ライディーン ) was broadcast on TV Tokyo, and another series called Reideen was broadcasted on WOWOW in 2007.
