Argument

In the perplexing aftermath of a bewildering dream, the world of high school student Yuuko Yoshida undergoes a remarkable transformation. Her ordinary existence enters a realm of surreal darkness as demonic horns sprout from her head, accompanied by an ominous tail. Stunned and disoriented, Yuuko's mother unveils a long-held family secret: they are descendants of the ominous Dark Clan, exiled and reduced to a life bereft of power and prosperity by their eternal adversaries, the virtuous Light Clan. The only hope to break this ancestral curse lies in a macabre ritual involving the blood of a magical girl, necessitating her unforgiving demise and the subsequent bespattering of her life essence upon an ancestral Demon God statue. Fortunately, fate intervenes to save Yuuko from a ghastly encounter with an onrushing truck, courtesy of an unexpected savior—a magical girl by the name of Momo Chiyoda. Yet, this serendipitous turn of events takes a dramatic twist, as it is none other than Yuuko's classmate at Sakuragaoka High who demonstrates extraordinary strength and resilience. Taking compassion upon her feeble assailant, the magical girl extends her benevolent hand, offering guidance and training to unlock the dormant powers nestled within Yuuko's fragile being. Thus, the reluctant protagonist embarks upon an arduous journey of self-discovery, determined to overcome her newfound trepidations and rescue her family from the clutches of insurmountable destitution.
