Argument

Take a look at the argument of Soukyuu no Fafner Song Lyrics:

Tatsumiyajima is the largest island in a quiet backwater of the Japanese islands, in the center of a tiny chain of islands. There is not much going on, so the young people of the island go to school realizing that their lives are likely to remain quiet so untouched. Or so they were told ... Yet the fact is different. The future of humanity is on the line and Tatsumiyajima is the last line of defense against an enemy that is violent and incomprehensible. At the heart of it all is the giant robot Fafner, the dragon who protects this last gem of mankind, battling for the continued life of humanity.
