Roused from her slumber by not one, not two, but four snooze-worthy alarms, the vibrant Narumi Momose finds her heart racing as she realizes she's on the brink of tardiness for her very first day at a novel workplace. A determined resolve fills her, vowing to keep her deep-seated secret buried in the shadows: her unashamed identity as an ardent otaku and fervent fujoshi. Alas, her plans are instantaneously thwarted when an unexpected encounter with a familiar face from her middle school days becomes an unavoidable reality: Hirotaka Nifuji. With a frantic attempt to maintain her façade, she hastily invites him out for post-work revelries, desperately hoping to divert any prying inquiries. Yet, her charade crumbles into dust as he casually inquires about her attendance at the upcoming Summer Comiket. Fortunately, the sole witnesses to her exposed truth—Hanako Koyanagi and Tarou Kabakura—are both fellow disciples of otaku culture. Later that moonlit evening, the pair rendezvous for a refreshing interlude over drinks, rekindling their dormant camaraderie from bygone years. As Narumi laments the heartbreaking debacle of her previous relationship's demise, brought about by her beau's unwillingness to embrace her fujoshi nature, Hirotaka proffers an audacious proposal of his own. He implores her to consider dating a likeminded connoisseur of otaku realms, none other than himself. With unwavering conviction, he pledges undying support, unwavering encouragement, and even assistance in the quest for illustrious treasures in the realm of Monster Hunter. Overwhelmed by this daring overture, Narumi eagerly accepts, thus commencing their enchantingly awkward romance, destined to enthrall at every turn.
