Argument

Disregarded as an irremediable failure by those in his vicinity, Arata Kaizaki, a 27-year-old man, finds himself bouncing aimlessly between different jobs after abandoning his initial company. However, his mundane existence takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Ryou Yoake, a member of the ReLife Research Institute, who presents Arata with a life-altering opportunity through the utilization of an enigmatic pill. Without a second thought, Arata consumes the pill, only to awaken the following day and discover that his physical appearance has regressed to that of a seventeen-year-old adolescent. Arata swiftly comprehends that he has become a participant in an extraordinary experiment, commencing his journey as a transfer student at a high school for a duration of one year. Previously confident in his vast life experiences, Arata is abruptly proven devastatingly wrong on his inaugural day: he flounders in examinations, is woefully out of shape, and fails to grasp the new educational policies that have emerged over the past decade. To aggravate matters further, Ryou is assigned to observe Arata, leading to ceaseless irritations. Throughout ReLIFE, Arata perseveres to adapt to his chaotic new lifestyle while evading the repetition of past mistakes, all the while gradually unraveling the mysteries surrounding his fellow classmates.
